Tigger

Tigger was born on December 18 2007. Tigger is from Savannah Cat Land. He is 56% Serval, his dad is a Serval named Raazz ma Taazz and his mom is an F3 Savannah named Daphnie. He is 15" to the shoulder and weighs 17.5 lbs.

Hobbes

Hobbes was born on March 2 2009. Hobbes is from Select Exotics in Cabery, IL. He is about 54% Serval. His dad is a Serval named Hunter and his mom is a Savannah named Lacey. He is 14" to the shoulder and weighs 14.5 lbs.

Savannah Cats are a breed of domestic cat that were created by crossing an African Serval— a medium-sized, large-eared wild cat with one of several accepted breeds of domestic cat. In 2001 the International Cat Association accepted it as a new registered breed. Savannahs are much more social than typical domestic cats, and they are often compared to dogs in their loyalty. They can be trained to walk on a leash and even taught to play fetch.

Bengal breeder Judee Frank crossbred a male Serval, with a Siamese domestic cat to produce the first Savannah cat (named Savannah) on April 7, 1986. Frank’s Savannah attracted the interest of Patrick Kelley, who purchased one of Savannah's kittens in 1989. Kelley was one of the first enthusiasts who worked towards establishing a new domestic breed based on a Serval/domestic cat cross. He approached many Serval breeders to help in the development of this new breed, and finally garnered the help of breeder Joyce Sroufe to work with him in taking the steps needed to have the new breed recognized. In 1996, Patrick Kelley and Joyce Sroufe wrote the original version of the Savannah breed standard, and presented it to the board of The International Cat Association (TICA). In 2001, the board accepted the breed for registration.

Tigger on TOP OF THE DOOR. Crazy Cat!!!

Here is Tigger being crazy. He jumped on top of the door the other day and I just so happened to have a camera available to capture his antics. I have never seen this before. Crazy crazy crazy! There is another video of him up there including his jump down on Youtube
